Lilia Roman

Lilia Roman – RYT500.  Lilia has been exploring body movement for over 17 years.  Descending from Mexican women healers, she has practiced Curanderismo, the healing arts of Mexico, throughout her life.  Lilia believes that yoga is not only exercise or physical movement but the unfolding of person’s true being. Through the breath, movement and awareness, the body is unraveling what she/he has always been but has been blocked, repressed, or denied through layers and layers of trauma both, physical and emotional.  Lilia holds a certificate in Urban Zen Integrative Therapeutic Yoga, iRest Yoga Nidra, Chair Yoga, and Prenatal.  She has also studied Qigong and healing sound and is the founder of OllinYoga, an organization that brings yoga to the underserved Spanish-speaking populations of the Bay Area. With much love, compassion, and deep respect for the human body, Lilia creates a practice that is grounded and profoundly healing.  She teaches yoga to communities in Oakland, Walnut Creek, and San Francisco.
